AAB is a business-services firm delivering tax, payroll, audit, accounting, HR, consulting, and advisory solutions across the UK and overseas. Any successful applicants undertaking a placement in AAB’s London office would be likely to be placed in their international tax and/or global payroll team, but they are happy to assist applicants with exploring opportunities in other AAB teams and offices where there is a particular interest.
They offer 1-2 week summer work experience placements, providing students with hands on insight into their industry and company. This is a great chance to gain insight into the professional world. Work experience students who complete the programme successfully and are interested in gaining further experience may be invited back to undertake a paid summer placement the following year and/or an Apprenticeship opportunity where this would align with their career aspirations.
There are no specific subject requirements for the programme. They look for candidates who excel in critical thinking, problem-solving, and written communication - and if you’re comfortable working with numbers, it’s a plus!

For students who are interested in a legal career, Blake Morgan's Legal Insight Day allows participants to develop their understanding of the legal profession and the career pathways to becoming a qualified legal professional (e.g. CILEx or Solicitor). In addition, participants will be given helpful application and interview tips, gain hands-on experience of working through a legal research activity and hear from members of our legal teams.

Blake Morgan’s legal teams are supported by a range of roles such as Trainee Legal Support Assistant, Legal Support Assistant and Executive Assistant. They also work with Business Service teams which include Risk & Compliance, Business Development & Marketing, Finance, Facilities, Human Resources and IT.
If you are interested in a career within Legal Operations, their Insight Day will enable you to learn about different types of career pathways within legal operations and understand how these teams/roles work with and support the firm, be given helpful application and interview tips and gain hands-on experience of working through an activity.

Work to a live architectural design brief, gain insight into the full design process from concept to completion, develop your understanding of professional practice, and produce a final model and coloured sketches to showcase your learning. This two-day placement will provide students with a unique insight into economic modelling, global risk analysis, and scenario planning, working directly with the Oxford Economics Scenarios Team in London.
The London Scenarios team focuses on designing scenarios and building macroeconomic models that help clients assess the impact of major global risks - from inflation and geopolitical tensions to climate change.
Using Oxford Economics’ Global Economic Model, the team supports their Global Scenarios and Climate Services while also delivering bespoke projects such as bank stress tests. This work blends economic insight with technical modelling to provide clients with robust, data-driven analysis and recommendations.

Follow multiple patients over a 6-month period, as they go from their initial injury to recovery. Learn about the many different healthcare professionals that are involved in a patient’s care. It gives students a chance to see them in action in various settings from the ward to the community. It is also a fantastic opportunity to see them work together in a multidisciplinary team.
Disciplines covered include Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedicine, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics, Radiography, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Speech and Language Therapy and Pharmacy.

is an initiative to offer short placements in the different clinical areas of GOSH to students thinking of applying for medicine at university.
This programme is suitable for students aged 16-19 years (ideally sixth form students post GCSE) and runs throughout the year, offering 1-to-4-day placements in the speciality of the student’s choice, dependent upon availability of places and supervising staff.
The purpose of the programme is to give an idea of what it is like to work in the NHS by shadowing clinical and nursing staff; this is a type of work experience although there is no hands-on work. Students are always supervised during this placement.
