Degree (level 6 or 7) apprenticeships are an alternative to full-time university study, where you work, in a paid position, for an organisation and attend university to study for a degree part-time (usually one day a week).
ASK's interactive apprenticeship guide is a self-directed learning and development document, designed for years 12-13 students, to inform them about apprenticeships and their benefits
With Success at School's new ‘Ask An Apprentice!’ platform, students can ask an apprentice absolutely anything. You'll gain access to an inspiring team of apprentices from top employers across the UK.

AAB deliver Audit, Accounting, Tax, Payroll, HR, Consulting and Advisory Solutions globally from their offices in the United Kingdom, Ireland and internationally.
They offer apprenticeships in the International Tax and Payroll team, as well as audit. There is currently a delay in advertising these opportunities for 2025, but anyone interested can contact them directly with their CV and a brief cover letter explaining their interest. The cover letter doesn’t need to be extensive – just a short summary of studies, hobbies, and interests. Applications should be emailed to Jess Constable, who manages student recruitment for the London office, at jessica.constable@aab.uk. Jess exhibited at our Careers Fair in November 2024, alongside her colleague Amy Rubens, who is a former TTGS student.
For students who are still undecided between university and an apprenticeship, they strongly encourage you to apply anyway and have a chat with Amy, Jess, and the team to explore your options. Students can find out more information on the International Tax and Payroll team on AAB's website, https://aab.uk/services/payroll-employment/ and Audit https://aab.uk/services/audit-assurance/
Bear in mind that apprenticeship opportunities open at varying times throughout the year, so some companies offering apprenticeships may not currently have details of specific vacancies on their websites. You can often register your interest in being notified when applications re-open. Check out some of the organisations recruiting, below -
