Description

Lakota Circles of Hope (LCH) is a proven 10-week, culturally based, prevention curriculum that teaches students how to deal effectively with risky behaviors through Lakota traditions and culture. 

Lakota Circles of Hope empowers students to have a safe and healthy lifestyle using Lakota values.

Neva Zephier has an Masters in Public Health Administration and Planning with 40 years of experience in health education, research, program development & implementation. Ms. Zephier graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and returned to work for the Indian Health Service Epidemiology Department. After retiring from the Indian Health Service, Neva felt she had more work to do and a desire to use her brain more. Her passion has always been to help her people and believes education is the answer.

I am an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe and Ihankthunwan on my fathers’side.
I received my Masters in Public Health from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and have worked in health education, research and program development with 40 years of experience. Retired 2020 from Indian Health Service.
