Hello!

My name is Kelly MacDonald and I am the TCCS Mental Health Therapist.  I have been at TCCS since 2018 and truly feel that our school is where I was meant to be!  

I live in Franklin with my husband Brock, my mother in law Peggy and 3 dogs (2 cocker spaniels and a daschund).  I have two older kids who are out on their own.  My son Christopher is 22, is living in Pittsburgh working full time.  My daughter Kaelyn is 20 and is in the nursing program at my alma mater Gannon University. 

Here at TCCS I see students who need help and support and also teach social skills lessons to different classes. I am in charge of the SAP (Student Assistance Program) to help remove any barriers to education from our students.  I also work closely with outside providers to ensure that our students get the best treatment from our local MH providers.  I am also the TCCS Leadership Academy primary advisor doing all of the trip planning.  Traveling with our students is one of my favorite things that I have the opportunity to do. 

I earned my bachelor's degree from Gannon University in 1997 and then moved on and earned by Masters degree from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia in 1999. I have been working in the mental health field for the past 28 years in a variety of positions and places.  My work with families has been some of the most rewarding and yet challenging. 

I truly am grateful that TCCS has invested in our students overall mental health by having me full time in our building.  If you have any concerns you can always reach out to me and if I don't have the answers I will certainly find them for you.
