I joined the Throckmorton Greyhound family in June 2018. Previously, I served as Director of Curriculum, Instruction and Federal Programs at Fruitvale ISD, a Curriculum Director, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Math Specialist at West Rusk ISD, Nacogdoches ISD, and Sheldon ISD in Houston. I began my career teaching high school mathematics at Chapel Hill High School. I graduated from Troup High School in 1993 and completed my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in History in 2001. From there, I completed my Master's in Educational Administration from SFA in 2006, received my Superintendent Certification in 2009 from the Region 4 Service Center in Houston and went on to earn my Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M Commerce in 2013. I am married to Roman and we have 4 beautiful children, Emily, Abby, Luke, and Beau. I enjoy many hobbies like weight lifting, fishing, hunting, and attending sporting events. I also serve as adjunct professor for my beloved LSU Tigers, as well as Texas Tech.
Other little tidbits of information: I come from a long line of educators and band directors so my passion for music is deep! I also was a majorette and drum major in high school! I enjoy football, you most likely will hear me cheering our team over everyone. If the LSU Tigers or Saints are playing, you will know where to find me as well! "Geaux Tigers" (in the voice of Ed Orgeron). My favorite coach: Vince Lombardi--his passion, determination, grit and drive are incredible, along with his faith and family. One amazing man! Favorite quote: when you lose your ego in the service of others you find the greatness within you--Jon Gordon. Motto to live by: Word Hard, Be Nice!
