Medication Management and Supplemental Support

We offer medication and supplement recommendations to target core mental health symptoms impacting daily life.

*Please note, evidence supports that supplements are not a replacement for medications but can be used in a complementary manner to provide additional benefits and symptom relief.

We do not offer supplement recommendations/plans as monotherapy for mental health conditions.

Conditions we commonly treat include ADHD, insomnia, anxiety, depression, mood swings/emotional dysregulation, OCD, ODD, ASD, bipolar disorder, self-harm behaviors, suicidal ideation, and psychotic conditions.

Coaching

We offer individualized education and coaching focused on understanding symptoms, managing daily symptoms, developing a language for your condition, learning ways to adapt your life, as well as education on expectations with medications and supplements (i.e. risks, benefits, and alternative options).

Our goal is to make you the expert in both understanding and managing your mental health. There will never be anyone better than you to serve in that role. All of our treatments are aimed at promoting independence as a key component of positive long-term mental health outcomes.

Therapy Services

We offer individual therapy for most mental health conditions.

*Please note, we do not offer trauma therapy, DBT therapy, or OCD therapy as these counseling approaches are highly specialized. We do offer referrals to counselors certified in evidence-based modalities for these conditions as a part of the evaluation and treatment planning services.

We specialize in therapy targeting executive function and emotional regulation skills most affected by ADHD including:

  • organization

  • time-management

  • staying "on-task" and tolerating distractions

  • self-regulation

  • emotional regulation

  • flexibility in thinking and planning

  • mindfulness

  • cognitive skills for managing emotions (CBT)

Our skills training programs are individualized to target the unique symptoms most contributing to daily impairment.

We also offer parent-training for younger children to help develop skills to support mental health.

All of our therapies are evidenced-based to contribute to improved outcomes over the use of medication alone.

*Please note, evidence does NOT support that ADHD is a skill or knowledge deficit nor does it support that ADHD can effectively be treated by skills training/therapy alone.

We do not offer skills training as a monotherapy for ADHD.

ADHD is identified to be a neuro-developmental condition, meaning it is a condition produced by impairments in nervous system (brain) development and function, specifically deficits in neurotransmitter production. Poor function in the areas of the brain impacted by ADHD contribute to skills "falling behind" typical development.

Evidence supports the use of medications to effectively improve function in the brain/neurotransmitters impacting skill development to allow for remediation of skills through training/therapy efforts.
