Why P.E.?
I believe P.E. matters because the physical human body is Key to every other area of life. If our physical body is lacking, stressed, or simply unhealthy it will negatively affect all other areas of life. Research shows that those who are physically healthy have better emotional, social, and mental health. This means that P.E. has the power to affect everyone in a powerful way, and especally students. New research shows that physical exercise helps students cognitive abilities in class as well as increasing attention span a critical component to education.
As a teacher my mission is to equip students with the tools, experiences and knowledge to live out the healthiest version of themselves. This means that we will work on introducing skills and activities that can be used after your student leaves our school. Our goal is to introduce a wide variety of activities with the hope that your student will find some that they can continue to participate in for the rest of their lives.
