Support Team

At Thorpe House, our entire leadership team is unwaveringly committed to upholding the highest standards of pastoral care, and we place this commitment at the very heart of all our endeavours. We consistently evaluate every facet of school life, ranging from our overarching ethos and the learning environment to the nurturing of personal development through our curriculum and extracurricular offerings.

This dedication to pastoral care support team is palpable in the warm and respectful relationships between our staff and pupils, as well as within our Learning Support Team. We take immense pride in the depth of understanding and individual attention that each student receives from their teachers, fostering an environment where they are not only recognised but also celebrated as unique individuals. Our Learning Support Team is an integral part of this effort, ensuring that every student, including those with neurodiversity, receives tailored assistance and guidance to thrive both academically and personally.

Our Learning Support Team is composed of highly skilled professionals who are adept at identifying and addressing the unique needs of students with neurodiversity. They work closely with teachers and parents to create personalised support plans that enable every student to reach their full potential. Whether it's providing additional resources, accommodations, or emotional support, our Learning Support Team is dedicated to ensuring that no student is left behind.

In addition to our Learning Support Team, we have a dedicated Welfare Officer who plays a crucial role in the well-being of our students. If any student feels unwell or faces personal challenges, our Welfare Officer is readily available to provide support, guidance, and a compassionate ear. We believe that a healthy and nurturing environment is essential for both academic and personal growth, and our Welfare Officer is a key pillar in maintaining this balance.

In essence, exceptional pastoral care, supported by our leadership and dedicated teams, is not just a part of what we do; it is woven into the fabric of our school's culture. Our commitment ensures that every student, regardless of their unique needs or circumstances, feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive academically and personally.
