The spreadsheet below outlines the rabbit abundance from the years 1927 to 2011 in a specific area. From the data we can see that the rabbit population varied throughout the years, sometimes sitting at over 200, some years under 10. It may be hypothesised that different control measures might have led to reduced numbers in certain time periods. The reduction could also be due to disease or natural events that affected the rabbit population.
NOTE: This part of the website would possible include a graph of the data and other information about abundance across Australia. This information has not been included here for rabbits as an analysis of this data is part of Section B of the assignment for students.
