I take a participatory action research (PAR) approach, researching in collaboration with residents and community development partners. Our work seeks to bridge academic and grounded expertise for findings that are directly relevant and actionable to partners involved.
RECRUIT RESIDENT RESEARCHERS
Fund residents to join as researchers to define project goals and shape how data will be gathered.
COLLECTIVE DATA GATHERING
Work alongside residents to gather data on neighborhood change with photovoice, oral histories, participatory mapping, surveys, and other shared documentation practices.
COLLABORATIVE SENSEMAKING
Interpret findings in partnership with neighborhood leaders, connecting data to resident priorities and action plans.
