HOW TO FIND AN EMPLOYER

Alternatively, you may have contacts through your family and/or friends whom you can request a work experience placement with.

The 'six degrees of separation' is the idea that all people are six or fewer social connections away from each other. This number has only decreased since the advent of the digital world!

STEP two
ASK THE EMPLOYER FOR A WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENT

Use the guides, examples, and template on the left to help you with contacting the employer and asking them for a work experience placement.

Some employers may ask you to apply for a work experience placement with them. Those that the School has access to are provided below. Please note: you must be logged into your Weald Google account to view these.

STEP THREE
COMPLETE and submit YOUR UNIFROG PLACEMENT FORM

You must apply for permission to undertake your work experience placement with Miss O'Brien via completing a Unifrog placement form.

 This is so The Weald:

Read the guide on the left about how to complete the Unifrog placements tool; you can also send this to the employer.

You cannot start your work experience placement until you have received permission from The Weald via your Unifrog placement form!

Make sure to select Miss O'Brien as your placement coordinator 

(otherwise she won't see your form!).

When you are ready to submit your placement form to the employer,
tick this box and press 'Update placement':

STEP FOUR
WAIT TO RECEIVE PERMISSION TO START YOUR WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENT

This will be visible on your Unifrog profile and looks like this:


You, your parent/carer, and the employer will also receive an email that starts and looks like this:
