Course Reflection:

Throughout the duration of this class my expirience was nothing short of amazing. This course did not even feel like a class but instead was a fun opportunity to express myself through art while sharing some laughs along the way. Ms. Thomas made the atmosphere in the art class room very easy going and chill which limited my stress. She gave me many opportunities to express myself and be myself with my art focusing on things that were important to me. In class I was introduced to many styles and techniques that enabled me to express personal things in ways I did not originally think of. I fell in love with each design process and honeslty had fun with all of the pieces you see below. I have always loved all forms and types of art and being able to deal with painting, sketching, and silouettes was all really enjoyable for me. All and all I had a blast and can honeslty say this class added a fun, enjoyable, and meaningful expirience to my senior year that will be hard for me to forget. Extremely grateful for the chance to learn art in this class from Ms. Thomas!

"Bhomas Bunningham"

Medium(s): Blue, white, black paint, Sketch paper, sketch pencil, paint brush

The picture above is a blue monochromatic portrait of my good friend Thomas. The portrait originated from a picture of him and was inspired by his outward mood and expression. I chose to color the entire piece blue because blue represents coolness and thats the feeling that Thomas often gives off. I wanted this cool blue tone to remain consistent throughout the entire piece. I decided to leave in the whites of his eyes to give him a realistic glare and draw attention more so to the middle of his face.

"See Him"

Medium(s): Paper,glue,sharpie

I was inspired to make this piece by things I see go on in the world today. I have seen these same things affect people in my family. I tried to orignally print out the words but instead I decided to write them out in order to successfully obtain my desired shape. I am content with how the piece came out and I feel as though I portrayed my message.

"Shalom"

Medium(s):Paper,Brushes,pencils,colorpencils,Gouche

I was inspired to make this piece by both dreams and thoughts of mine. Whenever I imagine myself in the highest space of tranquility on earth this is the type of thing I see. I included other important symbols to me such as an angels wing and a Chic fil A cup because they are both constant symbols for me.
