Part II

Drawing and painting II reflection:

I have enjoyed it. I like drawing and painting. Lots of dumb craps that happened in the past year made me feel... quite depressed I guess you can say. I could not really put my mind down and focus, brainstorm ideas of what to do. Some of the art piece I still do not like the idea. I just, I do not know, thank you for all the help and support. See you!

Finish the collage

Medium(s): Color pencil and Magazine

I did this collage on my favorite animal, which is also a symbol of China: Panda. They are only covered with the color black and white. And they are super cute! I used a picture that I took on sunrise as background, drew some bamboos around because that is their favorite food. I had a lot of trouble with exploring ideas of the arrangements, where to put my collage pieces, where to draw what. I honestly would not say I overcame them eventually. I just went with the feeling no matter if it makes the piece make sense or not(If that would count as overcome)

Triptych of Realistic, Abstracted A Little and Abstracted A Lot

Medium(s): Acrylic, graphite, and white fine liner on mixed media paper

My favorite TV show, Doctor Who produced by Brtish broadcast. At first, I wanted to do it based on two vanishing points on both sides of my tardis so that it looks 3D. But it was too hard, honestly, I just could not keep up with all the lines work. It was a lot! So I changed my mind to only one side of the tardis. As for it comes to ideas abstraction, abstraction is exploding, so I was thinking: Why don’t I just explode it?

Pen and Ink Mark Making Unit

Medium(s): Ink and white fine liner on mixed media paper

This was an illustration on my literature textbook back in middle school. Captioned on a Poem Tianjingsha Autumn Thoughts by Ma Zhiyuan.

Over old trees wreathed with rotten vines fly evening crows;

Under a small bridge near a cottage a stream flows;

On ancient road in the west wind a lean horse goes.

Westward declines the sun; Far, far from home is the heartbroken one.
