May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. Here are a selection of books that are written about and explore the lives of people who have a mental illness or their mental health recovery. This page will be updated periodically, but please contact the youth services department (youthserv@thetroylibrary.org) if you'd like additional titles.
Click on the cover images to see the book in our online catalog and request a copy. They may also be available through Libby, Overdrive, or Hoopla.
If you or someone you know or love is struggling with mental health, please seek professional help or check out the resources below.
You are not alone in this and you don't have to be.
Check out www.mhanational.org for more information on mental health awareness, a mental wellness toolkit, resources for finding help for those with mental health issues, and learning how to be an advocate.
