Olympe de Gouges wrote plays, novels, and essays showing at first her hope, and later her disappointment in the French Revolution. She became an outspoken critic of the slave trade in the French colonies and she wrote in favor of women’s rights. It was these very same writings that led to her arrest and execution.

Jen is delighted to be back performing at The Stagecrafters Theater having last appeared in Spinning Into Butter (Sarah). Jen is currently serving on the Production Advisory Committee and is Costume Chair with us as well. She holds a B.A. in Theatre from The George Washington University.
Jen is thrilled to work alongside an amazing cast and crew and has endless appreciation for Cate and The Stagecrafters’ family! Jen would like to dedicate this performance to her late mother, Mary.
Marianne Angelle is an invented character, a freewoman representing those attempting to abolish slavery in the French colonies in the West Indies and particularly those who had participated in the Saint- Domingue slave revolt in 1791.

First time performing at The Stagecrafters Theater. Acting credits include multiple productions at Villanova Theater: Slaphappy: A Covid-Era Comedy (Dottore/Chad); Scar Test (Nurse/Tired Lady); Merrily We Roll Along (Scotty/ensemble); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck); and Orlando (Chorus). Also performed in Murder by Gaslight-Philadelphia, Pa (Emmeline/Alice) with Without a Cue Adventures. Sharese is a Teaching Artist at two different youth education programs employing the performing arts as a gateway to life skills and to learning: Yes!... And Collaborative Arts and The Unscripted Project.
Charlotte Corday (1768-1793) was the young Girondin woman most famous for stabbing Jean-Paul Marat to death as he lay in the bath. Corday came to embrace moderate republican ideas; she despised the brutality of the Jacobins and blamed Marat for inciting the massacre of the Girodins.

Other artistic and theatrical pursuits: Full-time voiceover artist; Production & Facilities Coordinator for Bucks County Playhouse. Rachel is devoted to the development of new works having served as a Directing Observer for the 32nd Annual NAMT Festival of New Musicals.

Marie Antoinette (1755-1793), married to Louis XVI, was the last queen of France before the French Revolution. During the Revolution, she became known as Madame Déficit because the country's financial crisis was blamed on her lavish spending and her opposition to social and financial reforms.
