My name is Laura Staropoli and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I grew up in New Jersey and I am married to Jeremiah. I am a mom to 3 children, all who have attended, or are attending St. Ann School. Anthony is 21 and has enlisted in the U.S. Navy and graduated from bootcamp in early December. Alex is 16 and a Sophomore at St. Marks High School. Caitlyn is in 5th grade here at St. Ann’s. We also have a bonus daughter Delaney who is 25. We have 2 Russian Wolfhound dogs (Lily and Leo) and one cat (Snow). Oh, and I love to travel to Disney.
I graduated from the U of DE with my Bachelor in Education and a history minor. My teaching certificates are in both Regular and Special Education. I then received my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Maryland College. Before coming to St. Ann School, I taught in the Red Clay School District for 27 years. While in Red Clay I taught special education, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade. After retiring at the end of the 2021 school year, I began subbing and working at St Ann’s. I have worked in the PreK4 classroom at St. Ann’s for the past 3 years.
