There are four trustees plus volunteers from the community, who have helped pull together the plans for the project.
The founding trustee is Robert (Bob) Berry who was later joined by Robin Jéquier who brings considerable fundraising experience. In 2024 Paul Moss also became a trustee, followed by Terry Kennedy in 2026, making it a vibrant and interesting team.
With the combined skills of the trustees and volunteers alike, there is a sense of urgency and determination to get the project over the line.
You too could join us, just send us an email and we can chat to see where to fit you in. Go on - you know you want to!
Bob is a founding trustee of the charity whose vision is driven by his love of the former school building and what it can achieve. As a traditional folk musician and building restoration specialist, he brings artistic understanding, practical skills and know-how to our project. Having lived in Potterne since 1987 he also has excellent social and business links in the area.
Robin is a retired army officer, author and fundraising consultant whose rigorous campaign has raised gifts and donations that enabled the charity to purchase the school premises in March 2025. Robin previously chaired a grant-making charity, so his management and fundraising skills are a strong asset for this project.
Paul has lived in Potterne for five years. A former horticultural worker and primary school teacher, he is an active member of the village Youth Club Committee, an author, and a specialist in meditation and mindfulness. Paul's experience in education and working with young people will be invaluable, as will his passion for village life and for levelling up within the community.
Having moved to Potterne in 2024 Terry has become actively involved in the village, serving as a Parish Councillor with special responsibility for reviewing local planning applications and supporting community action groups. He is a civil engineer with significant experience of building development, design and maintenance, town and country planning and infrastructure development. Together with his enthusiasm for village life, Terry's experience will be invaluable.
