We are delighted to welcome Terry Kennedy to the Board of Trustees.

The Trustees are very pleased to announce that Julia Hunt-Grubbe has
accepted our invitation to become Patron of The Patch in Potterne.
Together with her husband, the late Robert Hunt-Grubbe, she has been
a steadfast supporter of our mission to purchase the former village school,
and transforming the building into a multi-use space for community benefit.
Julia said:
"I am delighted to have become Patron of The Patch. One of my passions is for
education, and I do hope that people of all ages and backgrounds will benefit from
everything The Patch has to offer. I look forward to seeing The Patch in action"

In February The Patch hosted a funeral wake for the late Maurice Orchard.
Attended by over 80 mourners, it was a successful occasion after which Maurice's family wrote:
"Thank you for everything you did to create a beautiful and relaxed space for us to come together and remember Dad.
Everyone worked so hard, both before and on the day to make that happen, and the care and support given to us as a family was really appreciated."

THE PATCH IS NOW A CHARITY
17 November, 2025
We are delighted that the Charity Commission has
now accepted our application to become a charity,
and given us the Registered Charity No 1215793.
The Patch is therefore no longer the community interest
company whose members recently approved the proposed
conversion to charity status. Former CIC members are
warmly invited to become Friends of The Patch.
