Help the Voice Get Louder
In 2012, the class officers and several members of the senior class were made aware of the fact that everyone can attend college, but it is not always financially attainable for all. They applied to college but were faced with the reality that they needed a way to finance their future education. They applied to scholarships and grants, and with their hard work, they were able to get through college.
After seeing how hard it could be for students to navigate through college, the class officers developed a vision for a dream that 10 years later would become a reality. They wanted to start a scholarship organization, and in 2022 they had the opportunity to make that dream come true in celebration of their 10 Year High School Reunion.
Today, the members of the graduating class now serve our communities in many ways, and The Mustang Voice Organization will be our legacy. What started as the name for the communication platform that helped seniors become agents of change on campus back in 2012, has now developed into The Mustang Voice Organization. And that voice continues to be heard all over the City of Houston and abroad through the countless ways in which the class of 2012 contributes to our society.
The nonprofit corporation of The Mustang Voice is a public charity organized for any or all lawful purposes for which nonprofit corporations may be formed including but not limited to the allocation and distribution of funds for scholarships to members of the graduating senior class of Stephen F. Austin High School located in the Houston Independent School District; 1700 Dumble St. Houston, TX 77023. The allocation of the funds will also be used to oversee and make the operations of the organization possible.
