The central flower is a stylized sampaguita which is the national flower of the Philippines since 1934. It symbolizes strength, humility and purity which are stated around it in Baybayin form, one off our country's oldest form of writing before Spanish colonization. The writing when translated means "lakas", "pagpapakumbaba" and "kadalisayan" in Filipino.
