FINANCIAL INFORMATION

The Lewis Practice offers therapy at a range of rates.

Independently Licensed Therapists

Independently Licensed Therapists have completed a graduate or doctoral program and the required number of supervised clinical hours.  This is the level of training and experience most insurance companies require for reimbursement.  Rates for each session are between $165 and $205 depending on the therapist's experience and demand.

Residents

Residents and License-Eligible Therapists have completed a clinical graduate program in Counseling or Social Work.  They are accruing the required number of hours for independent licensure and provide services under the license of their clinical supervisor.  They typically receive 1-3 hours of clinical supervision a week.  Some insurance companies and insurance plans will reimburse for therapy sessions provided by a “Resident” others will not.  Session rates are between $125 and $165.

Interns

Interns are graduate students in the field of Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.  Their internship with The Lewis Practice is part of their graduate school training and they work closely with a clinical supervisor.  We are selective in hiring interns, ensuring that they have both the experience and maturity to offer high-quality care. Most insurance companies will not reimburse for therapeutic services provided by an intern.  Session rates are up to $100.

Payment and Insurance

The Lewis Practice is a private pay practice, and clinicians are not currently in-network with any insurance companies. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. We do provide monthly statements (Superbills) containing the information needed to file for out of network reimbursement with your insurance carrier.  Please contact your carrier to verify how your plan may reimburse you for psychotherapy services.

The Lewis Practice accepts cash, checks, and all major credit cards as forms of payment. We also accept most HSA and FSA plans.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.  Under the law, health care providers must provide patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session.
