We hope you find our transition website to be informative. Please use this Google Form to submit any questions that you have. You can also check the main school website for further information. 

Q: When will we find out about our forms and class groups? 

A: Pupils will be informed of their groups on Day 1 in September. We use the information provided by primary schools and gained from the CATS tests in May to create these groupings. 

Q: Will my child need to carry their Chromebook charger with them every day?

A: No they will not need to bring their charger. Chromebooks hold more than sufficient charge for what they are needed for over the course of a school day. Pupils will need to make sure that their Chromebook is charged at home overnight. We do not have the facility for pupils to charge their Chromebooks in school.

Q: When will we find out more about enrichment clubs and sign up for these?

A: The schedule for enrichment clubs will be shared during the first week or so. Form tutors will support all pupils in their form to sign up to at least one club. 

Q: What are TKA's rules about mobile phones? 

A: Pupils are able to bring their phones to school, however they must be switched off as soon as pupils arrive at school. Pupils should keep their phones safe in their blazer pockets or in their bags. From time to time, teachers may allow phones to be used to support learning e.g for taking photographs, however those without phones will not be at a disadvantaged as this does not happen regularly and often Chromebooks can be used instead. If a pupil uses their phone in school without permission, they will be issued with a consequence in line with our behaviour policy. 

Q: Can pupils wear shorts all year round? 

A: Yes, all pupils can wear shorts throughout the year if they would like to. Shorts should be tailored and dark charcoal grey in colour. Pupils are also able to wear skorts which again should be tailored and dark charcoal grey in colour.
