What is Toddle?

Toddle, the school's Learning Management System (LMS) is a single platform that is a central hub for parents to stay up-to-date on their children's school activities and progress. This way, they have access to vital information that can help them better support their child.

Why are there different sections with Toddle?

Toddle is a learning management system (LMS) designed to meet the International Baccalaureate (IB) requirements. Therefore, as an IB World School, TKS uses different sections to cater to the educational needs of students.

The sections include:

Primary Years Programme (PYP- K1, G5),
MS/HS (Middle Years Programme & High School - G6 - 12)
Diploma Programme (DP, G11 & 12).

In addition to this, we also have an Athletics & Activities (A & A) section.

PYP - All students from Kindergarten 1 to Grade 5 are assigned to the PYP section of Toddle. Each student is enrolled in a homeroom class that includes most of their single-subject teachers. Students will also have another class that includes students from different homerooms. These classes cover Arabic Language, Islamic Studies, and STEM subjects.

MSHS (Middle School & High School) - All grades 6 - 10, high school (G9-12) elective courses, and most non-DP G11 or 12 courses are in Toddle's MS/HS section.

The IB projects included in the section are Service as Action (SaA, G6 - 10) and the Personal Project (PP, G10 only)

DP - All DP courses and some non-DP courses (World Languages) are in Toddle's MS/HS section.

The IB projects included in the section are Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS), and Theory of Knowledge (TOK).

A & A - Toddle's A & A section includes classes and groups requiring a more flexible classroom environment than the IB-focused sections. Examples include enrichment classes, leadership groups, or after-school activities like a coding club that requires a digital classroom.
