• "Happy Saturday!

What a start to the year it has been! Everyone is definitely getting into the swing of things living on-campus and balancing their academics with their athletics. It has been awesome getting to know all of our new students and getting the opportunity to work closer with some of our returning student-athletes who have stepped into leadership roles on campus. 

With this month flying by so fast, I wanted to quickly remind everyone about our holiday protocols. Our residence will remain open for all short holidays other than Christmas Break & March Break. 

If your son or daughter is planning on staying on campus during one of the shorter holidays, like American Thanksgiving, please have them inform us as soon as possible. Also if your son or daughter is planning on returning home please forward their travel itinerary along with their departure and arrival details to studentlife@thehillacademy.com at least two weeks beforehand. 

If your son or daughter needs assistance with getting to or from the airport, please refer to the designated departure and arrival dates on the residence academic calendar, which can be found in the additional resources section of this website. On these dates our shuttle only facilitates one drop-off or pick-up so please keep this in mind when planning your student's travel. 

We ask that you do your best to not schedule flights too early or late and aim for departures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. & arrivals between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. If you cannot arrange for this then please make sure to let me know via email.

• "Hello Again,

I quickly wanted to share another announcement! Enrolment for our first term's events package is officially now open! 

For those who are not aware of what this package entails, simply, each term there are 4 excursions/events that are planned for those who enrol in this additional package. Last year, students got to experience the following events:

Term 1:

• Canada's Wonderland - Halloween Haunt

• Bowling/Arcade - Bowling at Broadway

• NLL Game - Toronto Rock vs Halifax Thunderbirds

• Indoor Go-Karting - K1 Racing 

    Term 2: 

• Glow-In-The-Dark Mini-Golf

• Escape Room - Let Me Out

• Jays Game - Jays vs Mariners

• Outdoor Paintball - Survival Tactics

Pictures from these events can be found in the Events Tab of this website. The price of this package covers the cost of admission, food/drink, transportation & supervision for each event. 

Unfortunately, we are unable to issue any refunds should a student miss an event based on their own terms. Events are strategically planned around all Academy-related commitments & schedules (school and sports) to ensure that all students are able to attend. 

If you are interested and would like to sign-up your student for this additional experience, please head to the Events Tab on this website and scroll down until you see the RED BUTTON that says "Click Here To Enrol In The First Terms Events Package".

• "Summer is flying by! 

Soon we will be welcoming back our returning & incoming students and families on campus! Move-In & the first day of school are just around the corner! 

Sunday, September 3rd - Move-In Day 

Monday, September 4th - Residence Orientation Day 

Tuesday, September 5th - First Day of School

A lot of exciting things have been happening on campus over the course of the summer but I am most excited to share the news about the new addition of a multi-purpose sports court! 

This court will allow for our students to play basketball, tennis, pickleball, ice hockey and many other sports! Our residents will have designated hours to use this facility after school and on weekends just like the other facilities. 

I personally am most excited to beat some of the returners in hoops and tennis! 

I just wanted to quickly share this exciting news with our community and give something for our incoming residents to look forward to! I hope that everyone has a great rest of their summer and is looking forward to stepping back on campus in the fall!
