Students began the world of podcasting by listening to examples in various classes. One particular focus was in World History where students participated in a case study on the Black Death. They listened to Patrick Wyman's "Tides of History" podcast on the Black Plague.

After multiple workshop days in creating a transcript from their expert interview and then a group script for their narration, the 9th graders took a day off-campus to plan and record at Sun Soo Martial Arts!

At Sun Soo, expedition groups had multiple opportunities to record their podcasts to later edit them in school as they prepared both a rough draft for review and then a final podcast for publication.
