Picture Week

Broadbent Photography will be taking both individual and class photos of the dancers in their costumes. We will also be practicing recital dances in costume so please make sure your dancer is present this week. Please read the schedule below very closely as it may differ from the regular class schedule.

Your dancer can pose with their class for a group photo even if you do not want to purchase any photos. The group shots are often displayed at the studio, printed in our yearbook, or used on social media and we would love to have all our students in them.  We hope to have 100% participation! 

If you choose to order photos, order forms will be available on picture day as well as emailed out one week prior. One order form per family is sufficient. Payment (Venmo, cash or check made out to Broadbent Photography) is expected the day the photos are taken by the photographer. 

Photo packages will be ready for pick up during intermission at the recital. Digital orders will be emailed when they are ready.

What to Wear:

Dancers should come to the studio wearing their first costume with hair and make up done for photos.

What to Bring: 

Please have the required shoes, tights, costumes and accessories with you on your picture day (listed here). Make sure to have your dancers name in all their costumes, tights, shoes and accessories!

Hair/Make up for Picture Day:

You do not have to wear heavy stage make-up but feel free to apply some make-up before you arrive for your photo session. Hair can be nicely styled however you choose for photos (CODC photos should follow the team hairstyle).

Parents: 

On photo day, we ask parents to assist their dancer in bringing all required costumes to the Pink Room (boys will change in the office) and help them get their changing area set up. To keep the lobby calm and comfortable for everyone, we ask that parents exit the building and return at the end of their dancer’s last scheduled class time (see schedule below). Rest assured, your child’s teacher will ensure every dancer is photo-ready and looking their best.
