Mentor Responsibilities

Mentor Onboarding Checklist:

• Fingerprinting: All mentors are required to undergo fingerprinting before they can begin mentoring their mentee.

• Mandated Reporter Training: Mentors will receive training on their responsibilities as mandated reporters. This training will be provided by the program coordinator before the orientation training.

Mentor Guidelines and Responsibilities:

• Matches meet once a week for an hour during the school year 

• Meet after school during the Extended Day Program (3pm - 5:30pm)

• Mentors are to check in with the mentor coordinator with the following info:

  • Mentor name 

  • Mentee name 

  • What time 

  • Location 

  • Sign out time 

•  Mentors will receive a radio from the program coordinator; mentors must always keep their radio with them.
