Child Care Financial Assistance from the State of Vermont

The State of Vermont provides a Child Care Financial Assistance subsidy for childcare to working families. The income requirements to qualify for this financial assistance are more inclusive than ever before. We encourage all families considering EDP enrollment to apply. To access this state-funded child care subsidy, fill out the Application for Child Care Financial Assistance by the Vermont Department of Children & Families, Child Development Division. Complete instructions for applying are outlined in the PDF application document. IMPORTANT: Use “Mountain Communities Supporting Education, Inc” NOT “The Collaborative” in the Child Care Provider fields on the application.

REMEMBER: Any family applying for Child Care Financial Assistance will not be required to pay the $50 per Child Non-refundable Registration Fee for Collaborative Camp.

The Collaborative's Financial Hardship Assistance

The Collaborative can offer a discount of 20% off Collaborative Camp tuition to families for whom child care costs are a financial hardship. To apply for Financial Hardship Assistance, click the button below to fill out an application.

Mark Weikert Scholarship

Any family seeking assistance above the 20% Financial Hardship Assistance discount, is encouraged to also fill out a Mark Weikert Scholarship application. This scholarship fund is available for all fee-for-service programs offered by The Collaborative and was inspired by Mark Weikert’s amazing  “Running 40 Miles for His 40th” solo run in 2015. The Collaborative provides a limited number of scholarships to eligible students. Scholarships are awarded based upon financial, social, and emotional need. Careful consideration is given to each application by the scholarship committee and all information provided is kept confidential.
