Do we require visas for Bahrain?

What is the dress code for the music festival?
On Friday and Saturday, students should perform in their respective school uniforms. The Grand Final on the Sunday will be formal attire so students should bring something nice to wear!
What about spectators and parents wishing to attend the event?
Parents who are attending will have to arrange their own transfers between the airport and hotel as well as between the hotel and the concert venues. Uber is widely used in Bahrain.
Parents are not included in the catering numbers and should make their own arrangements with the hotel for breakfast. Food options will be made available during the music competition that they can purchase on-site.
Students should bring water bottles with them.
Yes, April is when things begin to heat up here in Bahrain! Whilst drinks will be made available, please ensure that your students bring water bottles so that they can continue to keep themselves hydrated throughout the festival day.
What genre of ensemble is permitted in the Ensemble categories?
Regarding genre, this is an open category. Rock and Pop bands should enter under the Battle of the Bands category.Â
Can music teachers perform with student ensembles?
No. Ensembles should be comprised only of students.
Can you arrange larger instruments to be used in the Festival, e.g. cello?

Is there a test piece set for each instrument?
No test piece required. The student should select a piece which best shows their techincal ability.
Are there restrictions for the piece being performed?
The chosen piece should be no longer than 4 minutes.
Is there an accompanists for students?
No, you must accompany your own students or bring your own.
How much teacher assistance is allowed in the music production of the song composition?
The song should be composed entirely by the student. You can help with the performance and actual physical recording of the composition. For example, if the student doesn't know the best microphone placement to record a piano, you can help them out. However, any mixing, production and mastering must be completed by the student as these are creative and compositional decisions which will effect the overall outcome of the song.
