Key Learning Objectives:

• Understanding On-Camera Acting: Exploring the differences between stage and screen acting, including subtlety, intimacy, and the use of camera angles and close-ups to convey emotion.

• Character Development: Learning how to create believable characters with depth and authenticity, understanding motivations, objectives, and character arcs.

• Script Analysis: Mastering the art of script analysis, breaking down scenes, identifying beats, subtext, and character objectives, and finding the emotional truth in the dialogue.

• Physicality and Movement: Understanding how physicality translates on camera, including blocking, gestures, facial expressions, and body language.

• Emotional Preparation: Developing techniques for accessing and portraying a wide range of emotions authentically and convincingly on camera.

• Audition Technique: Learning strategies for successful on-camera auditions, including slate auditions, cold reads, and self-tape auditions.

• Scene Work and Rehearsal: Practicing scene work with partners, exploring different acting techniques, and rehearsing for on-camera performances.
