Stacie is a seasoned educational technology leader with over a decade of experience, currently serving as the Director of Educational Innovation and Technology Services at Oakwood School. She began her career as a Digital Learning Specialist at Garrison Forest School, an all-girls school in Baltimore County, MD, before becoming the Director of Educational Technology at Urban School in San Francisco.
An avid advocate for emerging technologies, she frequently speaks on topics such as AI, social media and activism, and algorithmic bias at various conferences. Stacie is deeply committed to promoting diversity and empowering women to assume leadership roles in independent schools. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's in Cinematic Arts Production from USC and a Master's in International and Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco School of Education.
Jared Colley is the Upper Campus Head of Learning & Innovation at The Mount Vernon School in Atlanta, GA, where he also works as the resident Competency Based Education specialist, coaching and supporting teachers on CBE assessment and instructional practices.
He also serves as a Senior Consultant and Editor for MV Ventures where he consults with schools on a variety of topics related to teaching and learning and serves as Senior Editor of MV Ventures' quarterly R&D Reports, where he recently published the report, “A People-Centered Organization Living in an AI World.” Jared is passionate about authentic assessment, purpose-driven learning, and the idea that collective intelligence is how we solve the world’s most wicked challenges.
His most recent research and work focuses on how schools can adopt and develop a more robust “futures literacy” as a collaborative, learning organization by engaging in various foresight practices such as scenarios-based planning and speculative design fiction work.
