 Meet Holly

Holly first discovered yoga after a life changing diagnosis at the age of 29. Having been sick for months after the birth of her son in 2015, it was discovered she had an autoimmune condition that left her pancreas unable to produce insulin - a hormone necessary for breaking down food into energy necessary to function.

Learning how to live again with the help of synthetic insulin + 2 cyborg parts, exercise became a point of frustration. Holly began to look to different ways to move her body that would not create drastic swings in her blood sugars. Yoga not only provided a way to move physically again but also provided a new mindset to adjust to the hardships that came with a very overwhelming and often unforgiving invisible illness.

Life would take another unexpected turn for Holly and her family as they dealt with the heartbreaking reality of the still birth of their 2nd child in December 2018. Holly turned to yoga & mindfulness as a way to ride the many waves of her grief that followed.

In April 2020 at the beginning of the global pandemic, Holly gave birth to their beautiful rainbow baby. Although the journey was not what she expected, using tools like yoga  and mindfulness helped her find her way through unprecedented times with an infant while she taught from home full time.

With over 15 years experience as a middle school German teacher and 5 years experience as a Social Emotional Learning teacher, Holly has taken a leap to share her story, her experiences and love of something that has literally changed her life - hoping to provide guidance, support and strength for all ages in the area of wellness.

The Story of the Symbol

Her baby girl gone too soon continues to guide Holly every step of the way in this journey of healing. She provides Holly with a new sense of purpose in the world. The studio symbol is an orange wallflower taken from their daughter's memorial garden that continues to come back year after year. It is centered around the Celtic knot representing "new beginnings."
