AMP has begun compiling a list of summer music camps that our students can participate in. Check out this link to see many of the local options. If parents or students have any questions, just reach out to Mr. Hebert anytime!
Wednesday 12 August 2026 | 9:00am - 12:00pm | Academy
For the first time, we're going to offer a Middle School Band Camp! We'll kick off the fun with a pajamas and pancakes, then read through a bunch of music throughout the morning. The pancakes are provided, we just ask that everyone brings a topping for them. Students do need to bring their instruments since we'll be playing after breakfast!
Parents are invited to join us at 11:45a for a short performance of what we've worked on through the day!
The camp is free to all students!
Thursday 13 August 2026 | 10:00am - 3:00pm | Academy
Academy Jazz will open the year with our annual free Jazz Camp! The camp is from 10am - 3pm and features professional jazz artists, student mentors, free lunch, and an afternoon performance!
New(er) Jazz Students
If you're brand new to Jazz or would like a refresher on the basics, you'll signup for the 10am session. The morning will help you build skills and knowledge you'll need during camp.
Experience Jazz Students
Join for the afternoon session starting with lunch at 12:30pm. We'll pull out some charts, do some music reading, and prepare a short performance for families at 2:45pm.
Experienced students are also invited to serve as mentors for the morning session! If you are interested, be sure to check that off on your registration.

Friday 14 August - Saturday 15 August 2026 | Academy
All Academy Wind Ensemble students are required to attend our preschool camp on 14-15 August 2026.
You'll need to be in the band room by 8:00am on Friday.
We do stay overnight at school. You'll need a sleeping bag, camp mattress, or air mattress!
The camp ends with our performance at the Music Kickoff Cookout at 5:30pm on Saturday.
A tentative schedule and packing list will be posted here by the end of the current school year.
In addition, all Band Council members will complete a leadership training day on Friday 7 August from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Leadership members will receive further details directly.

Tuesday 18 August 2026 | 10:00am - 3:00pm | Academy
Academy Bands Beginner Kick Start Camp is designed for new band students or students new to their instrument and features several pro musicians who will teach the basics of instrument assembly, how to make a sound, and the first few notes. We'll end the day with a short performance showing off everything we learned that parents are welcome to attend!
If you completed a rental with Music & Arts or Sweetwater and indicated school delivery, those instruments will be distributed to students at the start of this camp. Otherwise, students should bring their instrument from home. If you haven't gotten the instrument rented or purchased yet, links to rent and info on purchases are available here.
