About Us

By the time you guys have got to know that what we do but how we do there's a lot of secreat behind this society. So go through every corners of our website and you will get to know! how we do these stuffs.  Let me introduce you who are we! 

We are a bunch of movie enthusiasts aiming to spread our predilection towards movies and to resolve the enigma related to movie and Video making. We provide people a platform to create something prodigious from nothing. 

We look for people who are ardent towards movies, be it direction, writing scripts, acting or editing. We conduct workshops throughout the year to train these people for their passions. 

We try to make eminent movies involving all those people and together work out everything right from discussing different scripts, different perspectives of a particular scene actually shooting it with just a DSLR on a busy street and finally putting all of it together. Well, we all are infatuated with it and that is why we are the Thapar Movie Club.

So, finally, you are here scrolling through the website looking for the reasons to join this club. You might be thinking that what is so special about this club that's not there in other clubs. Firstly, let's just clear one thing. It does not matter which society you join what matters is getting involved, discovering your interests – which can help you develop skills and abilities that you may not even have been aware of. 

As a fresher, your enthusiasm is what keeps you going and motivates you to try new things. In a new place, with no friends and a whole lot of expectations, these societies give you in hand opportunities. Joining a society helps you meet people who have similar interests, and make your hectic college routine a bit relaxing.

TMC started with a bunch of people having the same interests and ideas to initiate something distinctive and yet they succeeded in framing a place to LEARN, CREATE AND IMPROVISE. There is nothing more exciting than learning and enjoying at the same time. Yes, there are many other drama clubs, cultural societies where you can act but TMC is the only club in TIET that gives you the opportunity to act in front of the camera, to showcase your editing and cinematography skills. Most importantly what we have in common is our passion and love for movies. So, if you think that you have that same passion and energy and can convert your vision into reality, then TMC awaits you.
