The Camera converts the image to grayscale and divides it into 256 levels of brightness: Starting at 0( Pure Black ) and upto 256 ( Pure White ). After that, the camera creates a graph called Histogram.
The Pixels close to the left edge of the histogram are equal to the 0% brightness and pixels close to the right edge are equal to 100% brightness. The vertical axis of the histogram symbolizes the number of pixels that are in the tone.
