Mrs. Collar received her B.S. in Education with a major in Integrated Science from Central Michigan University and her M.A. in Education with a concentration in Instruction from Central Michigan University. Mrs. Collar also gained a middle school education background through CMLA at Central Michigan University. Mrs. Collar teaches Middle School Math and Science.

Chelsea Collar was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan where her dreams of becoming a teacher started in the fifth grade. Every opportunity that she could shadow or help a teacher, she snatched with enthusiasm. Mrs. Collar thrives on building personal relationships with students and getting them excited about learning. “If I can create a lifelong love of learning for my students, I will have a peaceful mind when they leave me at the end of the year.” She also believes it is important to teach children self-reliance, independence and integrity. “I want every child I teach to surprise themselves with how much they can learn and grow. If we challenge them and get them to dig a little deeper, the self-discovery is a beautiful thing to watch.”
