Values/PB4L: A Sense Of Fun & Empathy

Digital Safety:   Relationships and Communication. We know the power of our words and actions. Cyber Bullying, Digital Drama and Hate Speech.  We are kind and courageous.

Mathematics: Oxford Mathematics Programme.  Year 5s with Mr Dewe, Year 6s with Whaea Maddy, Year 7s with Mrs McMurchie, Year 8s with Mr Nolan.

Reading: Year 5 & 6 own class programmes.  Year 7 & 8 own class programmes based on Deadly Science.

Writing:   Deadly Science - Writing To Explain (Year 7 & 8) and own class programmes (Year 5 & 6).

Spelling: Own class spelling programmes based on individual needs (The Code).

Handwriting: Own class handwriting programmes based on individual needs.

Typing:  Keyboarding programme taking place in Year 6 - 8.

Te Reo Maori: Te Whānau a Tamanuiterā (the solar system)

PE: Dance, Target & Invasion Games

Languages: French for Year 7 & 8

Our Universe
Year 5 & 6:  Which of Earth’s Resources are the most important?  How do Earth’s Resources relate to Earth’s Subsystems?
Year 7 & 8:  What small things can we do to make a big difference to Earth’s Resources?  How could we show the comparative distance between things in the solar system?

Year 7 & 8 Technology:  Music Technology with Reuben, Construction with Mr Nolan, Cooking with Mr Dewe and Sewing with Angela Swank

Science: When Whaea Hannah is working in the classes the teaching and learning will be reflective of the science curriculum
