Class Expectations
In our class, I expect you to be kind and respectful to peers and teachers. This means you are helping to create a place where everyone feels safe to learn their own way, and share their thinking without judgement. We are a family for the next 10 months, and we have to take care of each other.
In our class, I expect you to put your best effort into your work, even if it is hard. This means you continue to try, and bravely face challenges. I will always help you succeed. Remember, if something is difficult, it just means it is not easy...yet.
In our class, I expect you to come to class prepared to learn and participate. This means you have a charged chromebook, any homework is completed and turned in, and you have all necessary items like pencils ready to go.
Finally, in our class I expect you to remember to not let anything or anyone rob you of your thinking. This means you are doing your own thinking and responding, and not relying on others or AI to do it for you. There is a time and place for partner work and AI help, but I want to know your thoughts and feelings before anyone or anything else.
