The global pandemic has only strengthened our resolve to address the rapidly changing needs of young learners in the 21st century. Remote learning is not going away and helps youngsters take ownership of their own educational progress. I urge all of you to give very serious consideration to this very significant development in education at Tewkesbury School by equipping all our young people with uniform learning tools. A more detailed presentation can be viewed below.

Please contact julia.whybrow@tewkesburyschool.org if you have any further questions.

We work in partnership with the Birmingham e-Learning Foundation (BeLF) and Albion Computers to deliver our Chromebook Digital Learning scheme.

We believe that all students accessing their own Chromebook to support both their learning in the classroom and their remote learning, will further enhance their progress, allowing personalised access to a wealth of creative content, resources and tools.

The scheme enables you to acquire a Chromebook for your child via monthly contributions that include insurance and accessories at a considerable saving on the recommended retail price of a Chromebook. At the end of the payment scheme the Chromebook is yours.

Essentially, what our Digital Learning scheme entails is the opportunity for parents, where possible, to provide a Chromebook for their son or daughter to use at school and we hope you will see the benefits:

  • No upfront cost if you choose to lease. Scheme runs for 3 years, supporting your child during their studies. A one off payment is also available.

  • Research has shown these devices are very reliable and have good longevity.

  • They are used as a professional tool at school and for homework, but also for personal use at home, where students can download other age appropriate apps for use outside of the school day.

  • Chromebooks are increasingly being used in further education.

  • Supporting students in developing technological skills for the world of work.
