Provincial Training Center-Inabanga (PTC-Inabanga) is located in a coastal town which is the Municipality of Inabanga specifically in Barangay Cagayan. It is in the northern part of the Province of Bohol in Region VII which belongs to the Second Congressional District. It is along the national highway, 73 kilometers away from Tagbilaran City which is the capital of Bohol. The floor area of the entire institution is 432 square meters. The modes of transportation are Van for Hire (Vhire), Public Utility Buses, and Habalhabal. Our neighbor training institution is Provincial Training Center-Tubigon which is approximately 21 kilometers away going to Tagbilaran City.
PTC-Inabanga was constructed in 1994 in a donated lot from LGU with an area of 2,226 square meters and in 2018 it is already titled to TESDA with Original Certificate of Title (OCT) No. 2018000148 Special Patent.
PTC-Inabanga offers skills training programs in Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II and NC III, Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC I, NC II and NC III, RAC Servicing (DomRAC) NC II, and Masonry NC I with National TVET Trainers Certificate holder trainers under the supervision and management by its Center Administrator Mr. Juanito B. Tumanda.
PTC-Inabanga is under the jurisdiction of the following Government Officials: Honorable Aristotle Erico Aumentado, Provincial Governor; Honorable Dionisio Victor Balite, Vice-Governor; Honorable Vanessa Aumentado, Congresswoman 2nd Congressional District; Honorable Jose Jono Jumamoy, Municipal Mayor; Honorable Josephine Socorro C. Jumamoy, Municipal Vice-Mayor; and Honorable Alex Lofranco, Barangay Captain.
Integrate, coordinate and monitor skills development programs;
Restructure efforts to promote and develop middle-level manpower;
Approve skills standards and tests;
Develop an accreditation system for institutions involved in middle-level manpower development;
Fund programs and projects for technical education and skills development; and
Assist trainers training programs.
Devolve training functions to local governments;
Reform the apprenticeship program;
Involve industry/employers in skills training;
Formulate a skills development plan;
Develop and administer training incentives;
Organize skills competitions; and
Manage skills development funds.
Overall, TESDA formulates manpower and skills plans, sets appropriate skills standards and tests, coordinates and monitors manpower policies and programs, and provides policy directions and guidelines for resource allocation for the TVET institutions in both the private and public sectors.
Today, TESDA has evolved into an organization that is responsive, effective and efficient in delivering myriad services to its clients. To accomplish its multi-pronged mission, the TESDA Board has been formulating strategies and programs geared towards yielding the highest impact on manpower development in various areas, industry sectors and institutions.
