Vision and Objectives

Overall Vision of TES PE and Sport

  • To have a varied PE curriculum that offers a wide range of sports for pupils to experience that follows the National Curriculum
  • To offer a wide variety of extra-curricular activity to all pupils outside of lessons and provide pupils with the opportunity to develop skills and a life-long love for sport
  • To offer a wide range of competitive sports against other schools and to maintain a high level of performance when competing against other schools

Extra Curricular Programme Vision and Goals

  • To offer a wide range of activities for pupils in Prep to have the opportunity to participate in
  • To give the pupils who do not make school teams the chance to develop in different sports/activities and gain a love for sport
  • To offer activities/sports which give the pupils opportunity for a healthy lifestyle
  • To have more than 60% of pupils involved in an extra-curricular activity each week

Competitive School Teams Vision

  • To have competitive and high performing teams that are selected due to pupils performance in PE, during trials and based on pupils strengths in the sports that the school are competing in
  • To continue to compete at the highest level and be committed in every event for all involved to give their all for the school
  • For pupils to always show a superb attitude on and off the sports field when taking part in any ECA or school fixture
  • For pupils to always show sportsmanship and conduct themselves exceptionally well during competitive games against other schools
  • To ensure that pupils gain a life-long love of sport through competitive team fixtures and that pupils experience the fulfilment that being part of a squad/team brings
  • Where time permits and staffing/facilities are available to offer the opportunity for lesser able pupils to be involved in teams

Major Goals of the School Sports Teams

  • To always give every team TES play a competitive game and that every pupil tries as hard as they can
  • To continue to be highly competitive and continue to enhance TES superb reputation for sport
  • To try and improve on the previous year’s success and have an even better year than the previous year
  • To meet the aims and objectives set by the Director of Sport for KFSAC/ISACK and BSME. This is set each year and is based on the strengths of the pupils in each year group for the sporting year

Our expectations of pupils representing the School Teams

  • Pupils should always perform to the best of their ability and give 100% in every game they are involved in
  • Pupils should want to succeed and should be extremely keen to do their best for the team to help the team succeed
  • Pupils should always shake hands after a game and say well done, no matter whether the team win or lose
  • Pupils should always show a superb attitude on and off the sports field when taking part in any ECA or school fixture
  • Pupils should always show superb sportsmanship and conduct themselves exceptionally well during competitive games against other schools
  • Pupils should never answer back to the referee or coach and at TES we will aim to ensure this does not happen
