Leadership Philosophy Paper

This assignment was about what we thought a good leader should embody. Aspects I chose in my paper were: knowing when to use direct and consensus leadership, establishing loyalty, and using strategic planning. I felt these were the largest aspects of a good leader to be successful. Knowing when to use direct and consensus leadership will determine whether those under you choose to follow you. To have those following you remaining loyal is also important, because if those you lead abandon you, the goal becomes much harder to achieve. In order to keep them loyal, you must have a solid plan, and know how to voice that plan. The aspects I chose work in a cohesive circle, where one affects the other. This assignment helped me develop my own idea of leadership, and know how I as a leader can become successful.
