Campus Farm First Horse Management Lab
Campus Farm First Horse Management Lab
Animals have always been a passion of mine since I was young. I knew that coming to the University of Maryland, I would be able to get hands on experience with animals ranging from chickens to even horses. Here is a picture of me with Millie on the campus farm, during a lab for ANSC232 Horse Management with Dr. Burk. The department offers many classes where you can gain experience working with a particular animal. In my freshmen year I also took ANSC262 Poultry Management with Dr. Weimer, where we studied the animal behavior and hatchability of chicks. Also, the dorm most public leadership freshmen stay in, Cumberland, is only a couple minutes from the campus farm!
