Tenacre’s “CELEBRATION BOOKS” program offers an opportunity to donate a book to the library to celebrate a child’s birthday, or mark other important milestones such as learning to ride a bike, graduating, or speaking in public for the first time. Families may also honor a particular teacher or staff member.
We encourage families who want to participate, to make their donation at the beginning of the year, so we can budget how many new books to purchase; however, you may make a donation at any time before SPRING BREAK - MARCH 6th 2026
If a family chooses to give the gift of reading to the community, the child may choose from a selection of an array of new titles. This is typically done during the birthday month or when the accomplishment has been reached during library class.
A special bookplate will be placed in the book to recognize the honoree and will be entered in our online catalog for the child to find easily. The celebrated child will also be the first person to check out the book when it is available.
To participate in the Celebration Books Program, simply fill out the form and acknowledge you would like your account to be billed $20. You may also contact Jaleesa Anselm if you would like to use the community fund.
We will take care of the rest including connecting with your child to help them make the selection during their celebration week.
The CELEBRATION BOOKS program is a significant source of new books for the community. We hope you will consider participating and celebrating your child’s or teacher’s meaningful moments. If you are interested, you may also donate to the library fund to support our growing collection.
