My name is Heather Quinn and, after many years away, I am delighted to be returning to teaching at Temecula Preparatory School this year. I was born and raised in Redlands, CA. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, so I ultimately graduated with a B.S. in Elementary Education from UNLV in 2003. I taught 4th grade in the Clark County School District until my son was born in 2005.
We moved back to California in 2006 to be near his surgeons at CHLA. During that time, I began teaching fourth grade at TPS in 2006. Those years teaching and developing curriculum with my partners are still some of my fondest memories in education. In 2010, I began working as the Lower School RTI Coordinator in our Student Support Services department. I had the honor of working with an amazing team and supporting many K-6th grade students at Temecula Prep.
The school's vision, mission, and community are something I believe in wholeheartedly, and I was devastated to have to step away from it all in 2015 to care for my son who had suffered many complications from his heart surgery. Thankfully time has been a healer, and I am proud to share that my son has grown to be a very healthy nineteen-year-old. In fact, he just graduated from Liberty High School in June. This is why I knew it was time to return to the school and community that I love so much!
