The Batch Process Engineering to Support Business Agility Workshop was held in Nagoya, Japan on November 11, 2004.
With the diversification and shortening of life of products, shortening the time from product development to market is a major issue in batch processes. One step towards the agility of batch processes is the integration of the different life-cycle activities and the adaptation of the development process to become more responsive to changes. The workshop presented a number of initiatives towards the realization of such agility.
