Zainabu Conteh is a teacher leader and instructional specialist who has served the Teaneck Public School District for the past 22 years.  Currently working as the districts’ Secondary Instructional Math coach, her purpose and passion is supporting teachers in developing the skills and structures required to provide high quality educational experiences for the young people in the communities they serve. 

Ms. Conteh has been a Foundations Year 4 Trainer for the past 10 years. In this capacity, she has developed and facilitated professional learning experiences for teachers so they can successfully implement technology in meaningful ways as well as design high quality project based learning tasks.    

Ms. Conteh has also coached basketball and soccer at Teaneck High School, served as a mentor teacher to novice teachers, served on various schools and community based organizations.  She is a National Geographic Certified Educator, a part of the inaugural National Geographic Teacher Advisory Committee  and was Benjamin Franklin Middle Schools’ first Teacher of the Year.
