identify ways to develop trust in collaboration; and
learn strategies to collaborate on digital platforms
“Kieran has a good point.
People have different mindsets, different life experiences, and different backgrounds. Then how can we make sure all these people successfully work together?” Mei Ling chimed in.
“TRUST is the keyword," Mr. Chang assured.
Sometimes situations change, and we do not know everything in the world. It’s okay to say “I don’t know (about the specific matter) and I will find out more about it”
State facts. Just because you are a leader or people depend on you, you don’t have to make up stuff so others can be confident in you. Find teachers, resources or other people that can help you with credible knowledge.
In getting other people’s support, focus on the good and positive ways of doing things, and let them know the benefits of doing it so they understand why they need to help.
“What if people lose trust in us when our words or actions are misunderstood or hurtful to them?” Mei Ling asked again.
“The fact is, we all make mistakes. We are just humans so sometimes we hurt other people and sometimes other people hurt us.
But we have to learn to repair trust and get our supporters back,” Mr. Chang explained.
At this moment, Mr. Chang got a call and stepped out of the room to answer it.
Ana rallied the others, “Hey everyone, I feel very inspired by what I have learnt today. I want to share some reflections with my family and friends back home using my social media account.”
“You know what, why don’t you also talk about how we, at SMK Pemimpin, are trying to fix a playground so that we can get ideas from others as well?” Mei Ling suggested.
The others started nodding and agreeing. Mr. Chang walked back into the room. Ana and Mei Ling explained their idea to him.
“With its wide reach, we can communicate ideas, raise awareness, and encourage support to our cause on social media,” Kieran added.
Ana, Mei Ling, Kieran and the other students started pouring their ideas in while Mr. Chang listened. “After all, the youngsters know social media the best,” he thought.

There is strength in numbers. A choir is louder than someone singing solo.
