Mathematics Vision Statement

The Walled Lake Consolidated Schools’ secondary mathematics program will establish a collaborative, learning-lab environment with students actively engaged in activities to develop:

• Communication

• Perseverance

• Higher Order Thinking

• Appropriate Risk-taking, and

• Personal Responsibility for Learning

continually working towards a deeper understanding of mathematics and its applications.

High School students in Walled Lake use a variety of instructional resources to further strengthen and develop their mathematical understanding.  College Preparatory Mathematics (CPM:  https://cpm.org/ ) is the core resource text in Algebra1, and Geometry.
