STEM Education teaches principles of science, technology, engineering and mathematics using a comprehensive, integrative approach. STEM skills incorporate problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, persistence, communication, and a growth mindset.
In Palmyra, Elementary STEM is offered as an established course to all third, fourth, and fifth grade students as part of the Related Arts rotation. This year it has been expanded in pilot format for grades K-2 .
STEM is also offered as a unified arts class at the middle school for all students grades 6-8.
STEM learning is hands-on, innovative and collaborative in nature, preparing our students for a bright future in the competitive global community.
